• Requirements to Link V1.0 as of 2nd of June 2017
  • Your server CANNOT be:
  • A home server with any kind of connection, no matter how good you think your hardware or connectivity is
  • Hosted with DMEHosting/Blazingfast.io/Amazon or FDCServers (this is due to unreliable service, poor performance, unreliable customer support, or otherwise poor reputation)
  • Linked to another network at the same time
  • Running Windows or OS X – we only accept Linux, OpenBSD, or FreeBSD
  • Software such as Cygwin or Ubuntu On Windows is NOT considered Linux and thus will not be considered
  • Shell Accounts are not accepted
  • Your Server must be:
  • The server must be hosted at a datacenter.
  • VPS Or Dedicated Server, OpenVZ is acceptable, KVM, Xen, long as it’s stable
  • You must have full root access to the server and you must be able to follow requests to install software components during initial link setup
  • You must be capable of doing basic server administration tasks on your own
  • Now let’s get to the fun stuff the specs 😀
  • Your server must meet the following hardware and network connectivity requirements:
  • Minimum Server Requirements.
  • Must run a unix-like OS, e.g. Linux or BSD
  • At least 1 GHz CPU
  • At least 256 MB of RAM (512MB+ is recommended)
  • One IPv4 address that can be dedicated to the IRC network
  • At least 500 client connections (default is 1024 for all servers) however 500 is acceptable
  • Ports 6660-6669, (Normal Connections) 6697,(SSL Connection)
  • Additional ports for server links must be allowed from certain IPs
  • Time synchronized via ntpd
  • Hosted with a provider that allows IRC.
  • Disk size 20 GB or greater
  • Have a registered nick on our network
  • Have root access to the server to make any necessary system-level changes
  • You must speak English relatively fluently, and any IRC operators you bring with you must also speak English.
  • Your server name must use our domain name (.US/UK/EU.DragonIRC.com etc), we will not accept other domains. No exceptions.
  • Follow the Code of Conduct and user agreements
  • One last thing we don’t say this is a must however DDOS Protection is always welcomed when it comes to IRC
  • Final and last thing, you allow us to add the server to our Status network page located https://status.dragonirc.com/ for future monitoring on downtime and uptime
  • Join #HelpDesk to request the email address so we know you’re serious, this is to prevent spam going to our Addresses that is why we don’t post it on our website
